It’s baby week!! I’ve finally reached my last week I will be pregnant and by this Friday we will finally get to meet our sweet Cali Gail! So this will be officially my last pregnancy post and I will move on to a new series, “Two under Two.” I think the question I’ve received so much lately is, “are you ready?” There is a part of me that is so ready and also a part of me that is screaming, “I need more time!” This weekend was our last one as a family of three and man it really made me feel like I just wanted to soak in every minute of it! I have to admit though I’m so ready to not be pregnant and finally start feeling like a normal person. I’ll take the Mom Zombie over this pregnancy life any day! After going through one labor and delivery I can’t help but not be a little terrified every day I get closer and closer to the big day. I can definitely tell my body is ready for labor though with all the false contractions that have been going on lately. I’m almost to the point where I don’t think I would believe it if they actually turned into real ones! Every night I have contractions that are painful, but for the most part they are never timeable and go away after I fall asleep. So annoying! Who knows though I might go to the doctor today to find out I’ve had a lot of progression and maybe all these contractions weren’t all for nothing! Although this dress was purchased last season it’s still one of my all time favorites and I luckily could squeeze by big belly in it!

So here is just a little update on how Miss Cali Gail is doing! After my last visit I was told that I was 2-3 cm dilated, 70% effaced, baby is head down, and also very low! Very exciting news, although anyone who has been pregnant knows that all that doesn’t necessarily mean labor could happen any day unfortunately! Some other big news I received though was that we would actually be inducing at 38 weeks due to my low platelet count. YES THAT IS NEXT WEEK!!! After finding out this news I have been in straight nesting mode trying to get everything ready and prepared for our newest little bundle! I’ve actually had I guess you could say a burst of energy because I haven’t felt this good in months! One thing that has been different this pregnancy is how often I’m getting cramps at this point. Some days I swear it has to be contractions, then they just disappear! Seriously is driving me crazy and now I actually understand why some women go to the hospital just to find out it’s false labor! I have to admit I’m super nervous every time I get up in the middle of the night wondering if my water might break! I’m pretty sure most women at this point can’t help but wonder if they will have a spontaneous labor. I guess time will only tell!
