I don’t know about you, but once January hits I’m already prepping for spring and summer. So long browsing sweaters and scarves, and hello bikini’s and bronzer!
I started seeing Elta MD advertised in magazines and noticed celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian were even representing this product. Needless to say, I had to get my hands on one of these top rated sunscreens!
I had currently been using jojoba oil to moisturize prior to making my switch. It worked well with my sensitive-acne prone skin, but I kept ending up with an oily hairline by the end of the day. I decided to start looking for something more lightweight to add to my daytime routine.
Oil-free EltaMD UV Clear helps calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to breakouts, rosacea and discoloration. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy looking skin. It’s very light weight and my skin felt amazing after each use! I loved the UV Clear so much that I ended up later purchasing their PM moisturizer.
Below I have listed my morning routine and I will do a more in-depth post of my full skincare routine at a later date.
1. The first thing I do is splash cool water on my face. I actually don’t cleanse my skin in the morning to avoid stripping my natural oils.
2. The second thing I do is tone my skin with Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Floral Toner.
3. I then use 1 pump of the Elta MD UV Clear and follow up with an under eye cream.
That’s it! It’s pretty simple and has been working wonders for my skin!
