2017 was definitely an exhausting year, but it has still been one of favorites! My strong-willed little Cali Gail turned one, we ditched her bottle and paci, she started talking, walking, using the big girl potty when she wants to, and we even switched her to a big girl bed! So many big things happened for her in 2017, so I will forever cherish this year!
Our Lilah Rose turned three, talks to us like she’s 15, prefers peanut butter and honey sandwiches over anything, and wants to sleep with Daddy and Mama every night. She is such a light in our home. I love that she tells me every evening, “I need you.”
This year was full of spilled milk, a messy home, and laundry piled high. Date nights were few and far between. They were golden though and we always slept in until 10 when we were able to have them! I swear, I fall more in love with Andy each year and I thank my lucky stars that he chose me. This man has made me stronger and has been the biggest support for me when it comes to achieving my own dreams and goals.
Yes, a Mama of two can still have dreams and goals! Mine this year? Attend yoga classes regularly, be able to straighten my back leg completely in a dancer pose, do a handstand press, sit comfortably in my side splits, and have that amazing moment when your feet tap your head for the first time in a scorpion pose. Aside from yoga, I want to decorate my house a little more this year! It’s pretty bare and needs some homey touches! I want to finally take our first family vacation. I want to see the Colorado mountains this year! 2018 I have big plans for you!
